Advice for health care open enrollment beginning November 1

Mario Gonzalez/KFORNBC - 4 KFOR

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Open enrollment for 2027 ACA health insurance plans begins on Sunday, November 1, and runs through January 15, marking the start of the annual window for consumers to select their health coverage.

Many employer health care plans also reveal their options for next year at this time as well.

The enrollment period comes at a time when ACA health insurance plans face a 15% median cost increase, and additionally, private health insurance plans are expected to see an 8.2% cost increase.

Joining us on Wednesday is Erik Wissig with SureCo to talk about why some plans that look the most affordable can actually be the costliest.

For more information, watch the video above.
